Stuff
You know your stuff. And, in most categories, one outlet or shop clearly stands out. Brentwood Auto Care and Whitie's did tie for Best Car Repair. And Rainbow wins Best Car Wash just barely, closely shadowed by the Finneytown Autowash. Best Bookstore (Chain) easily goes to Joseph-Beth, followed by Barnes & Noble and Borders. And you like those Crazy Ladies for Best Bookstore (Non-Chain), with Half-Price Books not far behind.

Best Clothing Store is Old Navy, hands down, as is the Gap Kids for Best Children's Clothing Shop, with Once Upon a Child trailing. Best Vintage Clothing Store? You say Trivet's, followed by various thrift outlets. Best Furniture Store is Bova, with Globe nearby. About every hairstylist in the city received one vote each, thereby negating the Best Hairstylist category. Best Health Food Store goes to Susan's Natural World, with Clifton and New World in close proximity. You say the Party Source is Best Liquor Store, followed by Cork 'N Bottle. Conversely, Best Wine Store is Jungle Jim's, followed by the Party Source. And Best Beer Selection is the Party Source, followed by Jungle Jim's and Cork 'N Bottle. Got that?

Best Record Store (Chain) is Media Play, with Camelot trailing, and Best Record Store (Non-Chain) is Everybody's Records, followed by Phil's. Best Magazine/Newspaper Selection goes to Joseph-Beth, followed by Fountain Square News, Barnes & Noble and Borders. Best Pet Store, without peer, is Complete PetMart. Best Place to Buy a Computer is Microcenter, followed by Comp USA and Gateway. Best Shoe Shop is Nine West, followed closely by Payless. Go Gourmet is chosen as Best New Store, followed by Healing Earth (which is actually more of a cafe than store). Readers couldn't divine the Best Tarot/Palm Reader - though, if they're any good, they already know they're the best. Best Tattoo/Piercing Shop goes to Cincinnati Tattoo, followed by Dana's and the Painted Bird. Best Thrift Outlet easily goes to Village Thrift, followed by Snooty Fox and Goodwill. For Best Toy Store, readers pick Toys 'R Us, followed by Johnny's. Best Video Store is Blockbuster's, followed by Hollywood. Best Adult Video Shop is Millville Video, followed by Hustler, Lion's Den and Elyse's Passion.

And, finally, the Best Reason to Leave Cincinnati is by far the weather, though rampant conservatism as well as Mike Brown and the Bengals received their fair share of votes. The Best Reason to Stay? Family and home take the prize, though the town's friendliness also scored well.
